Brown Couch, an exciting, young band out of Washington, D.C., is fronted by duo Jeff Himmelman (vocals, guitars) and Brian Smith (vocals, harmonica, percussion). The band combines acoustic funk, folk, rock, jazz and bluegrass with sophisticated harmonies and a reflective, lyrical song-writing style. The band's debut album, "Curious," immediately sparked a grassroots swell of attention, resulting in sold out shows across the country, sharing the stage with the likes of Jackopierce, The Violent Femmes, and Matt Nathanson.
