""I think I sing about things that many people have gone through themselves so they understand it, as if I was singing about their own situation. The drunk 53-year old lady at my last show said it best as she shouted out in the middle a song: 'You sing the truth!'"

About Kevin Roper
Between stints as a full-time musician, Kevin has tried on a number of different career hats, including ski lift operator, nightclub manager, high school basketball coach, and assistant director of a summer camp. Yet he has always found his way back to music, and understandably so. He is a skilled singer/songwriter, who plays guitar, piano, and organ. After playing in a variety of bands in a variety of places, from Colorado to Maine, Kevin settled in the music-obsessed city of Nashville. His album Brand New Town is his first foray into solo performance, although it's an album five years in the making. The hook-filled songs reflect a wide range of musical influences, encompassing elements of rock, folk and pop. Rich harmonies complement the music without overshadowing the emotion at the heart of every track. Brand New Town is a memorable album filled with accessible songs of heartbreak, hope and introspection.
